I'm finally back! Thanks for your patience. . .I am back from my parents' and still ill, but recovering slowly. (Now if I could just get my temperature to stay normal for 48 hours. . . . :P )
Without further ado, here is the next part of LOOTR. It does not immediately follow the previous part; there's a gap of about a day in there. I tried to fill in that Saturday, but the muse clammed up halfway through. If at some point she unclams, I'll retrofit. But for now. . .enjoy!!!! :)

LOOTR will return tomorrow evening or Sunday evening, depending on how quickly I can get the intervening section finished. My apologies for the delay, but I'm ill with a fever (lupus flare-up, I think) and am not moving at the swiftest pace these days. The good news is that once I finish up this one section, I have material to cover several days. :)

How many of y'all would forgive me if the Yulefic was a little less cheery than my other one? This thing just took its own dark little turn on me and I couldn't control it. No canon character death (or OC death, for that matter), but there is some fretting over the possibility thereof. Tender but sad h/c piece, I think I'd call it.

I'm working on that second Yule fic to post later tonight, so stay tuned!
Also, I'll post more happy AU resuming tomorrow. . .I just need to do a drag-n-drop save to CD on my laptop so I can open the file on Mom's computer, my only 'Net connection at present. So look for a continuation of the happy AU tomorrow forward. :)
I'm also working on some special stuff for the happy AU that fans of certain types of my fic (and no, I don't mean mpreg) will enjoy. Hopefully it'll be a fun read for everyone. :) Double kudos again to SurgicalSteel and Riddlemaster for their superb assistance on this - at Christmas, no less!!!! :D
Anyhow, look for Yule fic in this space in a few hours - ie, 1.5-2.5 hours from now.

6:28 am - FIC: Yule 1439 (A Silence AU Christmas Treat For All My Readers)

Well, since I don't yet have a Christmas treat from the happy AU, this is all I have to offer, though I am rather fond of it. It never made it into wide circulation past my personal LJ, I don't think, and so I thought it should see the light of day now. . . .
For those not familiar with my Silence AU, basically all you need to know is that Frodo doesn't sail West and continues to live with Sam and Rose and their children, finding a measure of contentment and peace despite his deteriorating health. It's actually a rather cosy AU.
Enjoy this Christmas gift from Frodo, Elanor, and me! I love you all so much and am so very thankful for each and every one of you. . . . Have a blessed holiday. :)

Greetings, everyone, and welcome to "Life Out Of The Ruins," the sequel to "Joy From Ashes," my Waymeet Crack Me Up challenge fic. The Crack Me Up fic can be read in its entirety at Waymeet, though I'll be posting it over at www.fanfiction.net after an appropriate washout period, and probably here or in its own LJ later as well.
